So Thankful For Asthma Meds

by Alison on June 7, 2010

(*unrelated pic, see end of post :) )

I have a story to tell, but it needs more writing.  There has been another asthma flare-up, and like He has done so many times before, the Lord has taken such good care of us and our girls.  I’ll try to get it up for tomorrow.  For now, I’ll just say that I am so thankful for the arsenal of meds we have in the cupboard and for our pulse-oximeter and stethoscope.  Sometimes Grace’s asthma is quiet.  It’s the quiet asthma that can be scary at times.

But she’s sounding good now, praise the Lord!

In other fun and exciting news- I took Jaron and Liberty and Grace to Pinocchio auditions with the Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre this morning!  I’ve been wanting to do this for years and just never got up the gumption to go for it.  Well, today we did!  They were nervous and a bit shy at first but the directors were so good at working with kids and they were soon warming up and coming out of their shells enough to give those lines a little bit of gusto.  It was so fun to watch!

We have rehearsals all week and performances on Friday and Saturday night, and I could not be much more excited for them than I am right now!  Fun, fun, fun!

401. divine nudges to check on her one more time
402. asthma meds kicking in and doing their jobs
403. loosening up, easier breathing, asthma flare-up passing
404. not needing oral steroids this time
405. sweet, smiling, freckled Grace, not sick
406. Hope’s allergies easing up, her asthma staying tame
407. community ed
408. stepping out and trying something new
409. Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre

What are you thankful for today?

They loved their first day! I’m sure the entire week will be a great experience that they will not soon forget!
