About

If I can do this, you can too!  Seriously.

I’m just an ordinary mom- blogging my days raising, homeschooling, and just plain loving on my 8 children, in the hopes that some of what I’ve learned from where I’ve been and where I am, might encourage you in where you are and in where you may be going…

First, and foremost, I’m a sinner saved by grace.  After that, I am a wife to one, whom I like to call Mr. Extraordinary (his Mother calls him David), and the mother of 7  8 children, whom I like to refer to as blessings.

dear ali,
i am so sorry that you and your precious family are enduring such pain right now.
my 8 1/2 year old daughter daisy had a small bowel, liver and pancrease transplan at the university of nebraska medical center on july 20, 2006. we moved her from nyc for the extraordinary care here.
9 months after transplant, dais was diagnosed with ptld – a form of lymphoma due to her immunosupression.
she had 4 1/2 monhs of ‘chemo light,’ a cute way of saying ‘not your traditional chemo.’

phew.

SO much has gotten me through the last almost-decade. so much to share. one chinese proverb comes to mind:
‘better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness.’

clearly you are a family of faith – this will carry you every day!

I have been by your site often over the past months, but just wanted to say here that I genuinely am praying for you and your family. I am amazed at how God’s grace carries you.
He will be glorified through this. You are doing an amazing job leading your kids in it all.
Aloha, and I’ll see you again! :)
