Jesus Is the Same, Again, Still…

Yesterday, Today, Forever
words by Albert B. Simpson

O how sweet the glorious message simple faith may claim
Yesterday, today, forever Jesus is the same.
Still He loves to save the sinful, heal the sick and lame
Cheer the mourner, still the tempest, glory to His Name.

Refrain-
Yesterday, today, forever, Jesus is the same.
All may change, but Jesus never! Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name! Glory to His Name!
All may change, but Jesus never! Glory to His Name!

There are several more verses to this old song, and they’re great, but it’s the first verse and reassuring refrain that fill my head today…

So much has changed, is changing, in our world, in our lives, but not Him, not Jesus.

Life has thrown another curve ball to our family. My youngest sister is has joined the club- the Cancer Moms Club.

She’s in a PICU room with her oldest son, one of the cutest and sweetest almost 4 yr olds you ever did meet, awaiting final pathology results.

Please join us in praying for a best-case-scenario…

Thank you!

eta- Tenny was diagnosed with Stage IV (it had spread to his lungs) anaplastic Wilm’s Tumor. He has a very, very, tough road ahead of him. Please join us in praying that Tenney, his family. and his amazing team of doctors can beat his cancer!

Praying for your family and your sister’s family! Praise the Lord that we have His light to guide us through these storms! I found your blog through blog her months ago, and I want you to know how inspired I have been by your faith, courage, and strength. Your children are so blessed to have a mother who is so grounded in the Lord!

Thank you so much for your prayers, for my family, and now for my sister’s family!
And thank you for your kind words. This has been the hardest journey I’ve ever had to walk, but the Lord has been so good, so merciful…

Praying…weeping…praying…for you all. There is no pain so great nor heartache so deep that the love of God can’t reach. He is our Healer, whether it’s on this earth or in heaven. God is faithful. He is mighty, merciful and trustworthy. HE IS OUR ALL IN ALL.
We love you all…

I just stumbled across your blog on BlogHer and I wanted you to know that I am praying for you all. 3 years ago my now 4 year old was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. So to some degree I can say “I get it”. I have seen God do wonderful things and I know that He will do it again. :)

Yes, God has done more wonderful things than we can even know, and we’re trusting Him for more! Thank you for stopping by and for taking the time to leave an encouraging comment, and for the smiley face, because some days it’s just so nice to see another smile! :)
