Teach me Lord, teach me Lord, to wait…
It’s been one of my favorite songs for years, and it played sweetly in my heart the other day as I went off the beaten path (the highway), and took some back country roads to town. I was soaking in the beauty on what might very well be the last of our lovely weather for this year (14″ of snow yesterday way up yonder in northern Minnesota). I came around a bend and this magnificent eagle was on the ground, just off the road to my right. I pulled over, rushed to put the big lens on the camera, and walked to within about 30 feet before he lifted up and flew away into a nearby tree.
Amazing creatures. I cannot see one and not hear that verse, to that old familiar tune, and I don’t mind it in the least.
What awesome Truth to be reminded of, isn’t it?!
