The Oak Inside the Acorn {Giveaway!}

I’m so excited to get to bring you 3 giveaways this week!
(And I’ve got more in store for next week, too! I know!!)

Little Acorn was afraid.
“Just be the tree God made you to be,” said Mother Oak.

It was hard for Little Acorn to believe he would ever be a big, strong oak tree.  But as time passed he did grow into a big oak.  Then one day he found that his strong branches were just right for a very special purpose.

God has a special purpose for you, too.  This heart-tugging tale urges you to pursue it.  The Oak Inside the Acorn is the parable from Max’s bestselling book Cure for the Common Life.  Both books convey the same life-changing message: God made one version of you, so be the best you that you can be!

This story, The Oak Inside the Acorn, is sweet in so many ways.  It made me think about the possibilities already packed inside each of my children.  It made me think about the ways I can encourage my children to let those inner possibilities out, to not be afraid to be who they are, who the Lord created them to be.  They cannot remain attached, and they cannot survive planted at my feet.  They will go out, I pray they will find some good soil, they will send down roots of their own, and this is the way it should be.  As a mother, an ordinary mother, it excites and terrifies me at the same time.  Does it excite you, too?  Does it terrify you, too?

    I’m excited about this new book. It seems like a great gift for many people…these days many need to realize how precious EVERY life is…and even moms who love their babies get tired and need reminding, 😀

    Thanks for the opportunity.

    I so need this book for my son. To have a biblical base to teach him to be strong in who he is would be such a blessing.
